Carlos Delgado homered at the ballpark as the Caracas Leones beat the Burbank
Tigers 8 to 3.

Caracas scored 5 runs in the 6th inning when they had 6 base hits.  The key
offensive moment was provided by Jorge Posada who thrilled the crowd when he
delivered a one-base hit scoring two baserunners.  Caracas out-hit Burbank
for the game, 9 hits to 6.  

The win was credited to Roger Clemens(13-7) who went 6 innings allowing 2
runs. Scot Shields gained credit for his 14th save.  Mike Maroth(11-9) was
given the loss.  He was hit hard and gave up 8 hits and 5 walks in 5 innings.
